Feeder Pigs: |
|
Feeder pigs are weaned piglets typically sold at six to twelve weeks of age. An average weight for a feeder pig is 40 lbs but this varies widely. Feeder pigs are purchased by consumers who want to feed their own pig to butcher weight (220 lbs). Your Berkshire feeder pig will reach butcher weight in approximately 180-220 days. Growth rate is influenced by feed quality, activity and individual appetites. |
